2024: Mean score of 10.11 (A-), with 99.6% of students qualifying for university

2023: 95.9% university transition rate with a mean of 9.50 (B+)

2022–2021: Over 93% university placement, despite nationwide academic disruptions

Every year since 2018: More than 86% of students qualified for university admission

Strong upward trend in top grades: in 2024, 47 students scored straight A’s, and 72 earned A-

Curriculum

Starehe Boys’ Centre and School follows the Kenyan national curriculum, specifically the 8-4-4 system, preparing students for national exams administered by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC). The School will be transitioning to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) like other public schools in Kenya.
