Senior School Selection: 3 Important Reminders for Students Choosing Starehe

As the Senior School selection process approaches, Starehe Boys’ Centre & School is reminding parents, Junior Schools and students of key requirements for those who wish to join Starehe for Senior School.
Senior School Selection and Starehe
With the Senior School selection process approaching, students who aspire to join Starehe Boys’ Centre & School are encouraged to carefully follow the selection requirements and ensure that their choices are correctly submitted within the stipulated timeline.
Starehe has highlighted three important points that parents, Junior Schools and prospective students should keep in mind during the Senior School selection process.
1. Select Starehe as Your First-Choice C1 School
Students who completed and submitted the Yellow Form must select Starehe as their first-choice C1 school during the Senior School selection process.
Expressing a preference to join Starehe through the selection process is an important part of consideration for prospective students.
Parents and Junior Schools are therefore encouraged to ensure that students who wish to join Starehe make the appropriate selection when completing their Senior School choices.
2. Starehe Conducts Its Own Pre-Selection Process
Starehe Boys’ Centre & School conducts its own pre-selection process for prospective Senior School students.
The pre-selection process considers several factors, including:
- The student’s expressed desire to join Starehe, demonstrated by selecting Starehe as their first choice.
- The level of need indicated in the Yellow Form.
- The student’s performance in the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA), with appropriate consideration given to ensuring national representation.
These considerations form part of Starehe’s process of identifying students who may be considered for admission.
Students and their parents are encouraged to provide accurate information during the relevant stages of the selection and application process.
3. Complete the Senior School Selection Correctly and on Time
Parents and Junior Schools have an important role to play in ensuring that the Senior School selection process is completed correctly and within the stipulated deadline.
Students who are interested in joining Starehe should discuss their choices with their parents, guardians and schools and ensure that the required selection is made accurately.
Completing the process correctly and within the required timeline helps ensure that students’ choices are properly captured for consideration.
Choose Starehe as your first choice.
