A Farewell to the Class of 2025

Published Date : October 30, 2025

On Wednesday, 23rd October 2025, the Starehe community came together for a heartfelt Leaving Service in honour of the Class of 2025. The event, attended by both students and staff, marked a moment of deep reflection, gratitude, and celebration as the candidates prepared to conclude their time at the Centre.

The atmosphere was filled with emotion and pride as the Director addressed the candidates, sharing The Charge left by Dr. Geoffrey Griffin — a timeless message that continues to inspire generations of Starehians:

“Never forget the great benefits you have received in this place, and in time to come, according to your means, do all you can to enable others to enjoy the same advantage. And remember that you carry with you, wherever you go, the good name of Starehe.”

These powerful words, spoken at every Leaving Service, serve as a reminder of the spirit of service, gratitude, and integrity that lies at the heart of the Starehe experience. For the Class of 2025, they echoed not just as a farewell, but as a lifelong call to uphold the Starehe name with honour and humility wherever their paths may lead.

The service also provided a moment to appreciate the dedication and perseverance that have defined this class. Through academics, leadership, service, and co-curricular activities, the candidates have left an indelible mark on the Starehe community. Their resilience and teamwork have been a source of inspiration to their juniors and a reflection of the Centre’s enduring values of discipline and excellence.

As the 2025 KCSE examinations began on October 21 with the oral and practical papers, the entire Starehe family stands behind the candidates with prayers and best wishes. We are confident that the lessons learned, the friendships built, and the values nurtured will guide them to success — not only in the exams but in every future endeavour.

To the Class of 2025, we say walk tall, serve others, and keep the Starehe flame burning bright. Wherever life takes you, may you remain true to the spirit of this great institution.

Once a Starehian, always a Starehian.
