Patshaw House Crowned Champions at the 2025 Inter-House Debate Competition

The much-anticipated Inter-House Debate Competition was held on 28th September 2025, bringing together the intellectual firepower of all 14 school houses. The annual event, known for its spirited arguments and vibrant atmosphere, once again lived up to expectations as students showcased their eloquence, critical thinking, and teamwork.
The competition began with preliminary rounds that saw each house battle for a place in the finals. After hours of intense debating, two houses rose to the occasion: Patshaw House and Horsten House, setting the stage for a grand finale on the engaging motion of student leadership.
What followed was nothing short of electrifying. The finalists demonstrated sharp reasoning, persuasive delivery, and impressive confidence as they tackled the motion from different angles. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats, while the judges faced the difficult task of determining the winner.
In the end, Patshaw House delivered a performance that edged out their worthy opponents, Horsten House, and was crowned this year’s Inter-House Debate Champions.
Speaking after the event, the panel of judges commended all participants for their preparation, clarity of thought, and passion. They noted that competitions such as this not only nurture leadership and communication skills but also encourage healthy rivalry and unity among the houses.
The Inter-House Debate Competition once again highlighted the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development—reminding all that the power of words, when used effectively, can inspire, challenge, and bring change.
